Глава 14

1 Хирам, царь Тира, отправил к Давуду послов, каменщиков, плотников, а также кедровые брёвна, чтобы построить ему дворец.

2 И Давуд понял, что Вечный утвердил его царём над Исраилом и что высоко вознесено его царство ради Его народа Исраила.

3 В Иерусалиме Давуд взял себе ещё жён, и у него родились ещё сыновья и дочери.

4 Вот имена детей, которые родились у него в Иерусалиме:Шаммуа, Шовав, Нафан, Сулейман,

5 Ивхар, Элишуа, Элфелет,

6 Ногах, Нефег, Иафия,

7 Элишама, Элиада и Элифелет.

8 Услышав о том, что Давуд помазан в цари над всем Исраилом, все филистимляне отправились искать его, но Давуд узнал об этом и выступил против них.

9 Филистимляне пришли и принялись разбойничать в долине Рефаим.

10 И Давуд спросил Всевышнего: – Идти ли мне на филистимлян? Отдашь ли Ты их мне?Вечный ответил ему: – Иди, Я отдам их в твои руки.

11 Давуд со своими воинами пошёл к Баал-Перациму и разбил их там. Он сказал: – Как вода прорывает запруду, так и Всевышний разбил моих врагов моей рукой. (Поэтому то место и было названо Баал-Перацим («господин прорыва»).)

12 Филистимляне бросили там своих богов, и по приказу Давуда их сожгли.

13 И снова филистимляне принялись разбойничать в долине.

14 Давуд вновь спросил Всевышнего, и Всевышний ответил ему: – Не нападай на них отсюда, но обойди их и напади на них со стороны бальзамовых деревьев.

15 Как только ты услышишь в вершинах бальзамовых деревьев шум, как от шагов, тотчас же вступай в бой, потому что Всевышний пошёл перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян.

16 Давуд сделал так, как повелел ему Всевышний, и исраильтяне разили филистимское войско всю дорогу от Гаваона до Гезера.

17 Слава Давуда прошла по всем странам, и Вечный навёл страх перед ним на все народы.

Chapter 14

1 NOW Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build a house for him.

2 And David perceived that the LORD had chosen him to be king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted because of his people Israel.

3 And David took more wives in Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron, and there were born to him more sons and daughters.

4 Now these are the names of the children who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shocob, Nathan, and Solomon.

5 Ibhar, Elisha, Eliphalet.

6 Nogah, Nepheg, and Naphia,

7 And Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphalet.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.

12 And when they had left their idols there, David gave a commandment to his mighty men, saying. Burn them with fire and scatter their ashes to the wind.

13 And the Philistines came up again and encamped in the valley of giants.

14 Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; but turn away from them, and go attack them from the front.

15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of howling in the top of the mountain, then you shall go out to battle; for the LORD has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

16 And David therefore did as the LORD commanded him; and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gadar.

17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all the nations.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.

12 Филистимляне бросили там своих богов, и по приказу Давуда их сожгли.

12 And when they had left their idols there, David gave a commandment to his mighty men, saying. Burn them with fire and scatter their ashes to the wind.

13 И снова филистимляне принялись разбойничать в долине.

13 And the Philistines came up again and encamped in the valley of giants.

14 Давуд вновь спросил Всевышнего, и Всевышний ответил ему: – Не нападай на них отсюда, но обойди их и напади на них со стороны бальзамовых деревьев.

14 Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; but turn away from them, and go attack them from the front.

15 Как только ты услышишь в вершинах бальзамовых деревьев шум, как от шагов, тотчас же вступай в бой, потому что Всевышний пошёл перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян.

15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of howling in the top of the mountain, then you shall go out to battle; for the LORD has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

16 Давуд сделал так, как повелел ему Всевышний, и исраильтяне разили филистимское войско всю дорогу от Гаваона до Гезера.

16 And David therefore did as the LORD commanded him; and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gadar.

17 Слава Давуда прошла по всем странам, и Вечный навёл страх перед ним на все народы.

17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all the nations.
